Senior Advisor – Samantha Eilertsen

Sam has been working for Bear Necessities Nursery since December 2004. Sam has two children of her own and is currently qualified to a BA and Early Years Professional Status since February 2012. After managing the nursery for 7 years and taking maternity leave in July 2016, Sam returned as senior advisor, assisting the Directors in staff and business development across their two settings in Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.

 

Manager – Lucy Clark

Lucy joined Bear Necessities in October 2018 and is responsible for the day to day running of the nursery. Lucy has a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and is currently completing her Level 5 in Management and Leadership alongside work.

 

Red Room (0-2) Lead Practitioner – Charlene Lay  

Charlene has been working for Bear Necessities Nursery since August 2010. She has experience working in all three of the age groups/rooms and has been working as the Lead Practitioner in Red Room since May 2014. Charlene has a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and currently supervises a team of 4 staff and a maximum of 12 children each day in the room.

Second in charge (Red Room) – Kayleigh Carroll – Kayleigh has been working at Bear Necessities in the red room since July 2012 and has a level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education. Kayleigh supports the running of the room in the absence of the Lead Practitioner.

 

Green Room (2-3’s) Lead Practitioner and Nursery Admin – Katarina Turbe 

Katarina has been working for Bear Necessities Nursery since March 2009 and currently supervises a team of 4 staff and a maxmium of 16 children each day in the green room.  Katarina has two children of her own and is currently trained to a Level 3 status in Childcare. Katarina is also the administrator (part time) for the nursery.

Second in charge (Green Room) – Lauren Sheehan – Lauren has been working as a Nursery Assistant at Bear Necessities since November 2018 and is qualified to a Level 2 certification. Lauren has completed one year of Childhood studies at Oxford Brooks full time and has recently began her Level 3 in Childcare qualification alongside her work here. Lauren supports the running of the room in the absence of the Lead Practitioner.

 

Yellow Room (3-5) Lead Practitioner – Elly Barry 

Elly has been working full time at Bear Necessities in the Yellow Room, since March 2016 and took on the Lead Practitioner role in October 2018. Elly is level 3 trained in Childcare and Education and supervises a team of 4 staff and a maximum of 28 children each day.

Second in charge (yellow room) – Rebekah Graham – Bekah has worked at Bear Necessities as a Nursery Assistant since October 2017. Bekah completed her Scottish childcare qualification and is now currently completing her Level 3 qualification in childcare and education alongside her work here at Bear Necessities Nursery. Bekah supports the running of the room in the absence of the Lead Practitioner.
