Business Manager – Samantha Eilertsen
Sam has been working for Bear Necessities Nursery since December 2004. Sam has two children of her own and is currently qualified to a BA and Early Years Professional Status since February 2012. After managing the nursery for 7 years and taking maternity leave in July 2016, Sam returned as business manager, assisting the Directors in staff and business development across their two settings in Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Acting Manager – Katarina Turbe
Katarina has been working for Bear Necessities Nursery since March 2009 and is responsible for the day to day running of the nursery. Katarina has two children of her own and is currently trained to a Level 3 status in Childcare.
Acting Deputy – Emma Walker
Emma joined the managerial team at Bear Necessities in August 2017. Emma has a wealth of experience in childcare, most recently as Manager of a pre-school and is qualified to foundation degree level with an endorsement in Early Years Sector.
Red Room (0-2) Lead Practitioner – Charlene Tharby
Charlene has been working for Bear Necessities Nursery since 2008 with a slight break in-between. Charlene studied her Level 3 in Childcare alongside working here and has experience working in all three rooms. Charlene currently supervises a team of 5 staff and a maximum of 12 children each day.
Green Room (2-3) Lead Practitioner – Zara Baker
Zara joined Bear necessities in November 2013 as a Nursery Assistant. In March 2017bafter completing her Level 2 in Childcare qualification, Zara was newly recruited to a Lead practitioner position in Green room. Zara is currently studying towards her Level 3 qualification in Early years and supervises a team of 4 staff and a maximum of 16 children each day.
Yellow Room (3-5) Lead Practitioner and Third in charge– Vikki Scarrott
Vikki has been working for Bear Necessities since 2011 and been running the Yellow Room since May 2012. Vikki is currently level 3 trained in Childcare and holds the internal position of EYFS Coordinator. Vikki supervises a team of 3 staff and a maximum of 28 children each day.
